It came in like a lamb...

...so March is heading out like a lion. There was plenty of eye-rolling around here as the National Weather Service tolled on and on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday about a winter storm coming. After all, last Sunday it was 78 degrees. Wednesday afternoon it was clear. Wednesday night it was clear. THURSDAY MORNING at 5:30, when I got an automated call announcing a snow day, it was dry. By 9:00, we had at least 5 inches and driving was treacherous.

Today, the drifts are up to my waist in some places. It's supposed to be sunny this afternoon, so there will probably be a huge melt-off. Still, we're staying put. Why not? I hit the library and the grocery store before the storm hit. We'll eat the birthday cake I made for my teammate, shovel and maybe go sledding.

A reprieve from all of the obligations- even if it DOES leave me less time to meet deadlines- is a good thing.

Hope you're not sandbagging, stuck or evacuating.

This is CRAZY! We have a blanket of snow as well, though not the 15 layers of down comforters that you're covered in. I'm glad you received a reprieve.
