I thought that was a common word for Laundromat when I was little.
I went to one yesterday (our dryer made an explosive sound and we have elected to replace it). It was surprisingly comfortable. They have a cappucino machine. Still, not something I'd like to have on my weekly to-do list, if I had a choice.
So. Bookclub tomorrow. As I said, I'm having Panera make the main food. I was a little challenged by the fact that the theme of the book is starving to death on a Brazilian river. So, Panera is making salad with strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, oranges, lettuce, pecans, chicken and poppyseed dressing. No need for us to starve. BUT, since that load is off my mind, I'm thrashing around trying to find appetizer recipes from Brazil. Geez! Why do I make these things so HARD?!!!
My sister pointed out that I seem to be in denial about being overwhelmed. And I said, "I am NOT in denial, OK???"
Here's what I'm doing: sweet potato fries with mango salsa, and Brazil nuts. And for dessert: something I fear is completely without any South America reference, my famous raspberry buttermilk ice cream, with the darkest of dark chocolate bars.

Pretty please make me some of that ice cream sometime.... or maybe guests can come to book club night? I'd love to join your club, but there's now ay I would be hosting it at my house. Evah.
Oh never mind. I just realized I have a show on Thursday night. Now you don't have to say I can't come.
But I still want some of that ice cream.
Cindi could come and be a member. She'll give the spiel that she gives her kids:
them: Have you read -----?
cb: Oooh---- did you love that book? What was your favorite part?
them: When the whatever did the whatever.....
cb: I KNOW! Can you believe that? Did this book remind you of anything else you read?
them: blah blah blah....
cb: Me too! So much alike!
Ice cream for everyone.
