Hello Bus!
They have her attending a school that is pretty far across town. There were at least 15 giant yellow buses, far too many to fit into the parking lot. I had time to hang out around the front doors, meet the teacher and clue her in on some things, etc. When I chatted with a Sp. Ed. supervisor at the site, she pointed out that they have to use buildings with air conditioning, which makes sense. I stayed out of Rose's view, but "stalked" her until she went inside. She was totally fine, of course. In other news, book club is here on Thursday. I think we're going to be having food from Panera. My sister has been encouraging me to take things a little easy- and hey, I don't need a LOT of encouragement in that area. (Einstein, a club member has the book, but I'll get it for you if you want to read it and join us!!! Let me know.) My family helped a lot around the house last night, even moving the furniture, and the cleaning lady is coming today.
My sister Shelley and I were strong-armed into attending a high school reunion Saturday. We went to a very small high school, so everyone receives invites every year.
It's not like it was a round number year for me, but it was our sister Katie's 30th, and she REALLY REALLY wanted us to come.
I ended up having a lot of fun, although I was pretty overstimulated by the time we left. A big dinner was starting and we just couldn't handle any more. Actually, the best part of the whole thing was the drive to and from Colorado Springs- Shelley is SO hilarious.
