My literary gathering was fun, as always. We are losing critical mass, and down to a regular 6. Which means that the food I ordered from Panera was TWICE AS MUCH as we could eat. Everyone approved of the book and, as usual, told me that they had not been looking forward to my choice, but ended up liking it.
Preteen continuing to make baffling choices for one who is "highly gifted," but then, he's a preteen. I was dumbfounded when another mother called to tell me what the boys were doing, but after I made him do every odious chore around the house for about 3 hours, I regained some perspective. Plus the patio is hosed off, the lawn furniture clean, ALL the laundry folded and put away, and I had help getting stuff done for the party. Ha! Remember, the last time he was in trouble, I got his hair cut off! There are SOME benefits to these missteps.

Are you going to be around this summer? We need to plan our day in _______ (insert name of fun little city here)and also do some scrapbooking. Have your people send my people your schedule...
I love Cindi's comment above. Funny.
Was catching up with your posts, my you lead such a busy life! I left a comment on your shingles post too, and one other. So much going on, I can barely keep up with you and I've only been reading for 10 minutes.
Hope the preteen decision making process mellows over summer, unless of course you have a lot more chores you need help with ;)
