It's the little things

My husband commented last night that he LOVES to come home and change out of his shoes into Crocs. Who am I to question that? I know some people who come home and immediately take off their... foundation garments.

I don't like walking barefoot, myself, but that rubbery stuff that Crocs are made out of doesn't feel good against my skin.

One thing that does give me tremendous pleasure, though, is being warm. Especially after being cold. Another thing that is absolutely huge for me is a sweet, creamy, hot cup of coffee first thing in the morning. I also have a certain sandalwood soap that never fails to feed my soul.

Right now, I don't seem to have anything else that is 100% comfort. A lot of life has had all the pleasure sucked out of it- even parties feel like hurdles to get over. I just have too many: weddings, retirements, graduations, appreciation dinners, birthdays... I think some of this stuff should be postponed out of May and into, say, July. Or October. Isn't October pretty quiet?

Don't you have conferences in October?

Soon it will be summer-- fun! Hang in there!

It seems like it's all or nothing--all winter (except Christmas) it's fairly quiet and we spend many weekends alone. Suddenly we have constant visitors and obligations. Today we have blissfully nothing planned. Ahhhhh.
