I believe that we may be nearly finished being sick. Andy finally succumbed, and had a really high fever. He has fragile lungs, in large part because as a newborn, he had viral pneumonia and was intubated for 16 days. He has been a regular at the pediatric pulmonologist all of his life.
He seems to have caught the same devastating, flat-on-your-back thing that I had, but for him, it is so much more dangerous. He missed a week of school, the pulmonologist said the H word, and he's on prednisone and antibiotics as well as the usual asthma meds.
I haven't wanted to post because I can't think of anything but sickness, and I don't like to read blogs about sickness. So. I feel like my family has been in a long, dark tunnel. And I believe that I do see light at the end of it. My boy is feeling better, a little. (There are aspects of it that are kind of sweet- he WANTS me to stay home, accepts the coddling and asked me to read him a story.)
Hope you lovely readers all feel the promise of spring.
