Rose's New Toy

A few weeks ago we took a family outing to the Cel*** Seas*** tea factory in Boulder.  It was interesting and fun, and when the tour was over, we were ejected into a gift shop so large that it smacked of Disneyland and was frankly a little unfair.

However, we good-naturedly wandered around, and Rose found a clever little china tea set with roses painted on it, packed in a cunning little wicker basket.  (The world is full of things with roses, all of which are named after her.  Bet you didn't know that, huh?)  We sent her away and told her MAYBE for her birthday she could have the tea set.

She arrived moments later with a leggy orange stuffed cat toy, and her arguments in a row: "I need a mommy titty, betause my baby titties at home no have a mommy."  We were not super impressed, as she has about 19 toy "titties" and they are always bathing and then dripping all over the bathroom.  However, she had an incontrovertible last argument: "And I dot my germs all over this titty."

ha!  Of COURSE we brought that viral thing home.  Probably all the baby kitties have been exposed, too.

Tramps on the tramp

Rose and her buddy Lucas are outside screaming their heads off on the trampoline.  And up in the tree house.  It's 62 degrees out, and there's supposed to be 10 inches of snow on the ground within the next 36 hours.

She went on a field trip today, to see Colorado wildlife.  The note said to dress for the weather and bring a water bottle.  Well, snowboots, a hat, gloves, a coat, a camera, BINOCULARS and a TOY BUFFALO later, we were ready to head out.

She's reporting, though, that she used the binoculars, took some pictures, and SAW A BUFFALO.  So I guess the survival pack was worthwhile.

Having fun reconnecting with REALLY OLD  friends.  Well.  Friends of long duration.  They're no older than I am and, as you know, I am REALLY YOUNG.
