Arachnophilia

Little Rose has passions unexpected. On our walk yesterday she asked, as she had been asking for a day or so, if we could study spiders.
So, in another example of our strange tech world, I googled the phone number of our neighborhood bookstore, called them and asked if we should take the risk of coming in.  (If we went in and there wasn't a book about spiders, we would end up having to buy a book about some pink princess.)

I try to make regular purchases at this local store.  I am very happy to have a bookstore 2 blocks away, and invested in its success.  If they don't have what I ask for, they always tell me they can get it in 2-3 days, and I'm sure they could, although I always decline.

We were assured that they had something which she could read independently and indeed, they did.  It was a fun extension of the usual afternoon dog-walk.  (Plus Arfie, our great big Dane/Lab mix boy, is welcome in most neighborhood stores, so he came right in to the bookstore with us.  Love that.)

We have several book projects to complete.  She is planning on weaving an orb web for this book.  I love that girl.
