In other news:
I have a piece juried in to "The Love Show" at the gallery downtown. This is such a great cooperative- a big part of their mission is developing new artists, and they have at least 3 shows a year that are open-entry. I have had pieces in 5 shows now- remember also that they hung a piece that Rose made. It still feels like beginner's luck every time, but I know I should push myself to the next level and look for other opportunities.
I have had a lovely couple of days on my own. Of course, days off ALWAYS have to include some kind of dental or medical appointment, but other than that, I've had book club, lunch with a friend, retail therapy (which, surprisingly, resulted in very little spending of money) and uninterrupted art time.
Work in the basement continues- did I mention that one day, Peter hit his head on a light bulb down there, and the next day, the ceiling was ripped out? And the next thing to go was a bathroom wall and all the fixtures. Yep. Gone, but not forgotten. Me, I'm a real proponent of hiring help. Help IN ADDITION to Andy.
