I see that another two weeks have passed since my last post. I don't have any updates that rival, say, the earthquake in Haiti, or even the deep freeze in Florida, but here's some food for thought, directly quoted from a cbs news source:
A local company, m Give, has been around five years. It specializes in non-profit fundraising through texting. By simply texting the word Haiti to the number 90999 you can donate $10 to the relief effort in Haiti and your cell phone company will add it into your next bill tax free.
M Give is giving the services for free. Late Thursday the state department reported more than $5 million donated through the company's texting technology.
Cool, huh? Good idea. Let me know if you do it.
In terms of the minutia of my own life, I have never seen my principal so tightly wound. He's not out of control, but he has a new boss, who has been leaning on him. The effect has been that he has been leaning really hard on everyone else. As it happens, since I am in a coaching position, I have been privy to all kinds of "just between the two of us" cries for comfort and advice. I'm pretty much following him around being the good cop.
I love my school, and I think he's the best principal I've worked for, which is saying a lot since I've had about 15. I just want to protect the morale of our team. I'm doing my best to deliver the same message he's sending, but translating it into female. If you get what I'm saying.
I think I would be far more effective if my own morale was founded on healthy habits like exercise instead of tranquilizers.
Today I get to go listen to cowboy poetry and music. I go every year and LOVE IT. Long time readers know that Wranglers are part of the draw.

Hey, uh, can you go back and edit blog entries after you've posted them? Just curious, is all.
