My sister Shelley goes to more movies than I do. As in, she goes to movies. In fact, the only time I ever even SEE movies is with her. Yesterday she suggested we see one, and listed off about 15. I had only heard of two of them, but she seemed to have a pretty good idea of which one we should try.
Ghost Town. Go see it.
Shelley and Liz and I went, and at one point I had to consciously stop myself from SCREAMING with laughter. I was making a scene.
And then the whole thing settled down and got all sweet and romantic. And here's the thing, it's rated PG13. No grappling. I remember only ONE naughty word in the whole thing. No need for it- just perfect casting, a goofy but not completely preposterous premise, and masterful emotional manipulation.

I'm glad some interesting-sounding movies have finally been released. Carl & I have wanted to go to a movie, but nothing decent has been showing. We'll put this one at the top of our list...hopefully this Friday.
