Off the Wagon

OK, I was never ON THE WAGON per se, and I do get that being ON the wagon is not a joking matter. I rarely, rarely ever drink alcohol, and haven't for 2-3 years. I discovered that the morning after one drink often included a full-blown panic attack, and it's at least as bad as a hangover.

Nevertheless, lately I've been having half a beer, or two half glasses of wine that add up to a glass. Finally last night at a restaurant that was quoting a 35 minute wait, I got myself an amaretto sour.

No ill effects, my friends. In fact, overall, a really worthwhile decision.

Mmmmmm--I love an amaretto sour. I love amaretto anything!

Here's the thing: Beer? Wine? They're the culprits. The hard stuff (unless you just get completely ham'ed) is never upsetting. At least that's been my experience. Weirdly.

Mmmmm. Amaretto sour. A 35 minute wait merits at least one. I'm glad you're evading the panic attacks.

xxoo

OK--I just read CB's comment and realized I sounded like her echo. While I'm echoing--amaretto coffee. YUM!
