Simulation Consolation

Well, THAT didn't happen. It was BITTERLY cold, with forceful winds and intermittent snow. These conditions don't mean that small planes can't be flown. Just that the ambassador pilots don't wish for their proteges' first experiences to be bruising, freezing or puke-inducing. So, no go.

However, the consolation was this COOL simulator at our city's airplane museum. In short, you rest on your stomach, using your hands to control two primitive wooden levers for speed and lift, and shove your hips left or right to control the turns. It's a WRIGHT BROTHERS flyer simulator. What fun. I flew it for at least 20 seconds before crashing. I was trying to avoid a tree. My friend couldn't get turned away from the tree in time, but she didn't crash- the plane just got stuck in the tree like a kite.

I did get a cool new camera for Valentines Day, so maybe I'll get some pix up later today.

Now that you have a new camera-- I want to come over and show you the cool features of the Memory manager. And then you're going to want the Storybook Creator Plus software next--I'll show you somethings I made with it (like my Chri stmas photo).

I love my camera, but I'd sure love to have another one. I can't convince myself to fork over $800 for anything like that, though.
