Wockies are on a Woll

• Woo hoo! Who'd'a believed it 2 weeks ago.. but the boys of summer are alive in the post-season!
• My friend Einstein is eloping with her longtime- (17 years!) live-in love. I am ridiculously romantic about this! We are throwing her a shower- needless to say, no household goods needed. So everyone is invited to choose one or more of their favorite books, and in the inscription, share what they love about them.
• The SAD? REM? question turned out to be PMS. Go figure. Now, all I need to feel better is DQ. ASAP.
• Not KFC, though. Or BK.
• BBQ has a chance, though.
• I went to a big ol' conference Mon. and Tues. this week, and it turned out to be one of those humbling conferences, in which you realize all too clearly how little you know, how much work remains to be done, and how you have exposed yourself to the thorns and arrows of the pioneer.
• Took a few arrows today, and shot back. Oy. This leadership thing is not for the undiplomatic.
