I just got home from a fruitless, disheartening trip to FIVE clothing stores INCLUDING Lane Bryant. All I want is some stylish clothing that is modest, not black, 3/4 sleeves, doesn't need ironing, feels like jeans or sweats, has some texture and/or pattern on top, slimming on the bottom, V-neck, but not too low, fitted but not tight, less than 30% polyester, that I can afford. IS THAT ASKING TOO MUCH???
(So I bought some "foundation garments" and skin care products. Because god-forbid I should come home empty-handed. Oh, and because I was so discouraged by how all those clothes looked, I stopped at DQ, too.)
I could not have felt more dowdy today, and lumpy. And dull-colored. AND my feet are KILLING me!!! I ask you, should dowdy shoes HURT by the end of the day?
Sheesh.

This post made me laugh out loud. As for the clothing requirements, all I can say is... you're so demanding! I've actually tried several times over the last few weeks to find the same kind of clothes you're looking for--no luck. And I only wear three quarter sleeves, too. If they are long sleeves, I fold up the cuff until they are.
You saw the shirt I was wearing yesterday and today - 3/4 sleeves from Kohls. Cottony, soft, nicely casual but can be dressed up a bit. Oh well . . . AND you are NOT dowdy. Even 30 years from now you will not be the dowdy type. Now, what about some DQ for me, huh?
I hate days like that....
